Dr. Zhigang Yang is an Associate Professor and Master's Advisor at the School of Cyber Security and Information Law, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT). He holds a Ph.D. and is a Senior Member of the IEEE as well as a Senior Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF). Deeply engaged in the fields of edge intelligence and privacy protection, Dr. Yang has directed and participated in 9 national and provincial/ministerial-level projects, led 6 industry-sponsored projects, and contributed to the development of 8 IEEE international standards. He holds 10 authorized invention patents and has been honored with the First Prize from the China Association of Inventions and the Second Prize for Teaching Achievements in Chongqing. He has published two textbooks and monographs, including Discrete Mathematics and Computer Information Security Technology. Furthermore, he has authored over 30 papers in top-tier domestic and international journals, such as IEEE JSAC, Information Fusion, IEEE TII, IEEE IoT J, and the Journal of Electronics & Information Technology. Dr. Yang also serves as a reviewer for journals like IEEE TVT and IEEE IoT J, and is an editorial board member for the international journals Scientific Reports and ELSP Block Chain.

I have always adhered to the philosophy of rigorous academic pursuit, immersive research exploration, unwavering ethical integrity, and compassionate student mentorship. To strengthen students’ competitiveness in the AI-driven job market, I have strategically pivoted my research focus toward artificial intelligence in recent years. When a student from the graduating class of 2026 was indecisive between internship offers from ByteDance and Galaxy Universal, I provided tailored guidance by aligning industry dynamics—including the surging demand for Vision-Language-Action (VLA) engineers—with his career aspirations. I meticulously revised his resume to highlight technical prowess and project impact, organized simulated interviews to refine his presentation skills, and conducted personalized debrief sessions to boost his confidence. Ultimately, these efforts enabled him to secure multiple high-profile offers as a VLA engineer from leading tech firms, with packages exceeding ¥400,000 in annual compensation. This experience underscores my commitment to bridging academic excellence with real-world success, preparing students not just for research but for thriving careers at the forefront of AI innovation.
