Research Field

Dr. Yang Wang received his Ph.D. (Ph.D.) from the University of Sheffield, UK in 2015. During his study in the UK, his research interests were antenna arrays and array signal processing. He has published more than 30 papers and 1 academic book in top peer reviewed journals and conferences. In June 2015, he joined the Key Lab of Mobile Communication in the School of Communication and Information Engineering, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, as the executive deputy director of the Radio Wave Propagation and Wireless A.I. Fusion Technology Research Center (Univerisity-level scientific research center), and carried out scientific research in the field of wireless communication and information systems. His research interests include: orbital angular momentum communication, terahertz and millimeter wave channel modeling, and smart array reflectors.

Since joining Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, he was P.I. for 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 1 Chongqing Municipal Education Commission project, 1 Chongqing Natural Science Foundation general project, and 4 industrial projects. Cooperating with the University of Sheffield in the UK and Chalmers Institute of Technology in Sweden Universities and others, they have jointly undertaken the EU H2020 project "Indoor 3D small cell deployment with MIMO antenna array", and the international cooperation project "Indoor 3D MIMO small cell network key technology research" jointly undertaken with Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) in the key R&D program of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
