Profile:
Lin Yuan is an Associate Professor at the School of Cyber Security and Information Law, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security. He is affiliated with the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Image Cognition (Prof. Xinbo Gao’s research group). He received his B.Eng. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, under the supervision of Prof. Touradj Ebrahimi (JPEG Chair, IEEE Fellow). He has over eight years of international study and industry experience, having worked at Technicolor (Hannover, Germany), Irdeto BV (Amsterdam, Netherlands), and Huawei 2012 Laboratories (Hangzhou, China), with a focus on image/video communication and media security. His research interests include AI security, multimedia security, and privacy protection. He has published more than 30 papers in venues such as NeurIPS, ACM Multimedia, IEEE TIFS/TCSVT, and Pattern Recognition, and holds 4 invention patents. He has led several national and provincial research projects and participated in major NSFC, EU Horizon 2020, and Swiss NSF programs. He is currently a member of the CSIG Technical Committee on Digital Media Forensics and Security and serves as a certified judicial expert at the Institute of Forensic Sciences, CQUPT.
