Dr. Hongjiang Lei received the B.Eng. degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Shenyang, China, in 1998, the M.S. degree in computer application technology from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2004, and the Ph.D degree in instrument science and technology from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, respectively. Since 2004, he has been with School of Communication and Information Engineering of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing, China, where he is currently a Professor. From Nov. 2016 to Oct. 2018, he was with the Communication Theory Lab (CTL), the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) Division, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he is a postdoc fellow under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini supported by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). 

Dr. Hongjiang Lei has served as the reviewer for IEEE JSAC, IEEE JSTSP, IEEE TVT, IEEE TWC,IEEETIFS, IEEE TCOM, IEEE TCCN, IEEE WCL, IEEE CL, etc.

Admissions

Our group is mainly focusing on performance analysis of wireless communication systems. More specifically, mainly focusing on analyzing the physical layer security or covert performance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems, Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems, Cognitive Radio systems, Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) systems, Radio Frequency-Free Space Optical (RF-FSO) Communication systems, etc. We have undertaken many research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Project of Fundamental and Frontier Research Plan of Chongqing, Scientific and Technological Research Program of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and Key Laboratory Open Fund projects. In recent years, a lot of research papers have been published in the top journals in the field of communications such as IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Communications Letters, and international conferences such as IEEE Globecom, ICC, VTC, etc. The research team maintains a long-term collaboration with Dr. Ki-Hong Park and Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Imran Shafique Ansari at the University of Glasgow, UK, among others.
