Professor of CQUPT, and specially appointed professor of "Liangjiang Scholar" in Chongqing. He enjoys the special allowance of the State Council (in 2000), the academic and technological leader of Chongqing (since 2008), and the winner of the "Supporting Plan for Excellent Talents in the New Century" of the Ministry of Education (in 2006). He has won the title of Excellent Teacher in Chongqing (in 2007). Member of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education (Electronic and Information Major, during 2013-2017 and 2018-2022). 

      Joined in work in August 1988. He has served as assistant engineer of the Audio-visual Education Center of CQUPT, engineer and deputy director of the Institute of Program-Controlled Exchange Technology of the Department of Telecommunications, deputy director of the R&D Department of Chongqing Chongyou Information Technology CO. LTD (CYIT), deputy director of the Optical Internet and Wireless Information network Research Center, Deputy dean and executive dean of the School of Communication and Information Engineering of CQUPT, etc., and vice president of CQUPT in July 2016.

      Mainly engaged in research and teaching in the fields of communication network theory and technology, wireless communication, multimedia information transmission and processing. He was in charge of researching of over more than 20 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 National Plan and provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. It has won one second prize of national science and technology progress, two first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, and five second and third prizes. He has obtained 98 national invention patents (27 have been transformed or adopted), published more than 100 papers in SCI and EI retrieval journals. He has won two second-class prizes for national teaching achievements, five prizes for educational and teaching achievements in Chongqing.
